Campuses

The majority of Swinburne’s international students study at our Hawthorn, Lilydale and Prahran campuses in Victoria, Australia.

Swinburne has five campuses in Melbourne, and an international campus in Sarawak, Malaysia.

Please note that not all courses are offered at all campuses.

Croydon offers international students TAFE diploma and certificate courses in Health and Human Services.

It also offers pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship courses in Building and Construction, as well as a wide variety of short courses.

Just 15 minutes on the train from the centre of Melbourne, Hawthorn is Swinburne’s main campus and is located in one of the city's most beautiful suburbs.

Set amongst the cafes, boutiques and bookshops of Glenferrie Rd, and with the convenience of a supermarket and railway station practically on campus, it offers a desirable student lifestyle.

There are several on-campus accommodation options available and students can also choose to live nearby and walk to class through the parks and leafy backstreets.

The campus has many specialised facilities and is the hub of our research and development activities. It is also home to the Swinburne English Language Centre.

The tranquil setting and friendly, supportive atmosphere of our Lilydale campus ensures that international students can enjoy a learning experience that is both relaxed and enriching.

Campus facilities include the Student Village accommodation (which overlooks Lilydale Lake), Mitchell’s View training restaurant (for Hospitality students) and a new purpose-built postgraduate research building, which houses the Centre for Regional Development.

Support staff at Lilydale run a special host program, giving you the opportunity to make new friends and establish international contacts.

The campus is easily accessible by train and you can benefit from the convenience of a shopping centre within walking distance.

Home to Swinburne’s prestigious Faculty of Design and the National Institute of Circus Arts, the Prahran campus is a creative, lively learning environment situated within one of Melbourne's most vibrant suburbs.

The campus puts students within easy walking distance of the famous Chapel street shopping precinct, which is lined with restaurants, night clubs and boutiques stocked with the latest local and international fashions.

The convenience of the campus location is enhanced by the close proximity to the local railway station, while nearby tram stops will come in handy whether you are heading into the city centre or to the neighbouring beachside suburb of St Kilda.

The Wantirna campus houses the central administration of Swinburne’s TAFE division.

It offers diploma and certificate courses in Art and Design, Automotive, Business and Management, Computing and Information Technology, Engineering and Electronics, as well as Horticulture.

Wantirna also offers short courses in a wide range of subject areas.


Swinburne, Sarawak

Kuching, East Malaysia

Located in Kuching, East Malaysia, Swinburne’s Sarawak campus offers courses in Engineering, Business and IT as well as a pre-university Foundation Year.

The 16-acre city campus has approximately 700 students and has recently undergone an expansion that has included the construction of seven additional buildings and which will allow for an increase to around 5000 students.

Sarawak puts Swinburne in a strong position to expand and diversify its international education activities in Asia.
