A new era in commerce and business
June 2009
Swinburne continues to develop courses to reflect the needs of industry and students. As such, we will be incorporating commerce into our business, entrepreneurship and management courses from 2010.
As part of an exciting new set of courses, we will be offering Bachelor of Commerce degrees at Hawthorn for the first time.
This move reflects the innovative nature of our renewed degrees, which provide more flexibility and practical experience to ensure today's students are better prepared for tomorrow's careers.
Commerce at Hawthorn
The suite of commerce courses at the Hawthorn campus includes:

This new tagged degree is designed to meet growing industry demand for non-lawyers who can provide paralegal duties or other basic legal services in a business or commercial environment.
Students who combine this degree with an accounting co-major may be eligible for membership of CPA Australia (CPAA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
