Arrival Services and Accommodation

Swinburne International can arrange for new Swinburne students to be met at the airport upon arrival and delivered to their accommodation. For students who are new to Melbourne, Swinburne International can arrange for you to be housed in temporary accommodation, and for students, in a pre-allocated homestay. These services must be booked prior to arrival.

Pre-Departure Checklist

There are a number of important tasks you will need to complete before you leave for Swinburne. To make sure that you don’t forget anything, we have prepared this pre-departure checklist.

1.	Check your Acceptance Letter to confirm details of your course and commencement.
2.	Online Arrival Services Booking Form Complete and return this form, including your Temporary Accommodation preferences (if you wish you wish to use this service).
3.	Online Homestay Allocation Form Complete and return this form, if you want to participate in the Homestay Program.
4.	Ensure you are fully aware of your airport reception arrangements and who to contact if you get lost or miss your flight.
5.	Confirm your travel arrangements with your travel agency/airline.
6.	Notify Swinburne International of ANY changes to your arrival details or accommodation details since you initially booked them.
7.	Ensure you have packed all necessary documents you may need for enrolment, including: Letter of Offer. Letter of Acceptance. Receipt for Payment of Deposit. Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). Passport. A photocopy of the photo page and the visa page of your passport and/or e-visa. Current health cover card (if you are a current student in Australia). Any documents to support conditions on your offer letter that you need to satisfy before enrolling in your course, for example original or certified copies of academic transcripts, syllabus or IELTS (English Language) test score.
8.	Pack your tickets and other travel documents.
9.	Weigh your bags and make sure all your items are complying with Australia’s Customs and Immigration regulations.
