Australian Development Scholarships

The Australian Government has an overseas aid program designed to reduce poverty and promote sustainable development in some developing countries.

AusAIDThe provision of educational scholarships for study in Australia is one component of Australia’s development training program. The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) offers Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) to provide opportunities for individuals from selected developing countries to undertake post-secondary level study in Australia. The overall objective of the scholarship program is to provide AusAID sponsored students with valuable knowledge, skills and qualifications which will enable them to make a positive contribution to the development of their country.

Swinburne University of Technology is one of the education and training providers for awardees of the Australian Development Scholarship scheme. Swinburne is proud of its long association with AusAID and its commitment to continue providing quality training and support to its AusAID sponsored students. There are approximately one hundred ADS students currently enrolled at Swinburne and representing 17 countries around the world.

Applying for the ADS scholarship
