Classes are smaller and students will have more individual attention from their teachers to help them adjust to university.
 
Students who successfully complete all units of study in the Diploma of Engineering (UniLink) are guaranteed second-year entry into one of the following degrees:
UniLink is accredited as an award-level higher education diploma.
*Only available to domestic students.

Course description

The Diploma of Engineering (UniLink) is a direct pathway to second-year university. The units are similar to those in the first year of a bachelor degree, but the classroom environment is different. Course structure

Faster transition for February commencements
Students who start the Diploma of Engineering (UniLink) in February normally finish in September. This means there is a four-month waiting period before students can start their bachelor degree the following year. Students will be able to start their bachelor degree immediately after finishing UniLink in mid-September by enrolling in a two-subject summer school from September to November.

English language requirements

Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Certificate: EAP 4 Upper Intermediate: 70%; OR, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 537 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 75, with no individual band below 17. Prerequisites

Year 12 VCE Maths Methods or Specialist Maths or equivalent (topics in coordinate geometry, circular (trigonometric) functions, calculus, algebra, statistics and probability).
