Support for AusAID students


AusAID student

Swinburne University of Technology is in contract with AusAID to manage the AusAID student program. The contract requires Swinburne to provide a range of services and support to AusAID students in addition to providing regular reports to AusAID on the academic progress of their students.

There is a Student Contact Officer (SCO) employed by the Swinburne International office responsible for ensuring that Swinburne University complies with the terms and conditions of the AusAID contract. In addition, the SCO acts as a focal point of contact for AusAID students at Swinburne. The SCO oversees the academic and social well-being of all AusAID students and ensures that those students who have come to Australia with families are provided with appropriate community support.

The SCO works as part of the Sponsored Students Team and draws on additional resources and specialised support from across the University to provide AusAID students with the appropriate services to assist with problems they may typically encounter as an international student in Australia.
