LAS provides advice and instruction about academic language and learning to international students enrolled in Swinburne TAFE, undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

We provide:

arrowLunchtime conversation groups and

  arrowIndividual and small group appointments

The LAS team is made up of teachers who can help you with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills – both in and out of the classroom.

We also teach various aspects of Australian academic culture, such as avoiding plagiarism, referencing your work, developing critical thinking and working in groups for assessment of written and oral skills.

Specialist advisers also offer appointments and workshops for general computing and research skills as well as assistance with maths and statistics subjects.
