


About the Professional Year ProgramSwinburne University of Technology has built its strengths around a solid technology base and influential links to industry. Swinburne has been recently accredited by Australian Computer Society (ACS) to deliver a Professional Year Program in Computer Science. The 44 week program will include practical work experience, business theory and organisational behavior preparing students for employment opportunities in the Australian ICT industry. The program will be run at Swinburne College South, Prahran. Swinburne’s ACS Professional Year Program in Computer ScienceSwinburne’s ACS Professional Year Program in Computer Science is primarily aimed at graduates of an IT bachelor or master degree who are now holding a Skilled Graduate (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 485) or Bridging Visa A. (Students holding a student visa are not eligible for the program.) It is a 44 week program which will cover Australian employment market and workplace culture as well as an industry internship where students can gain first hand work experience through Swinburne's prestigious ICT internship partners. As the program is an Australian Computer Society course students will gain membership of this key body while undertaking the program.
