Celebrate Vaisakhi 2010 with the Swinburne Punjabi Club!
Join us for rocking live music, exciting dance performances

Punjabi feast.
Vaisakhi is one of the most significant holidays in the Sikh calendar, marking the new harvest season and commemorating the establishment of the Khalsa at Anandpur Sahib (India) in 1699 by the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
It's all about helping new students feel welcome and encouraging cultural understanding among different communities, so come along – everyone is welcome!

Swinburne International Video Competition
We're looking for stories. Mind if we use yours?
Who better to tell the story of life as an international student than you?
You could win one of 10 prizes for creating a 1 – 3 minute promotional video that shows what life at Swinburne is like.
All you have to do to enter is be a current Swinburne student and get your video – and application form – in to any Student Information Centre before 5.00pm on Friday 23 July 2010.

Looking for some fun out on the water? The Swinburne Student Amenities Association (SSAA) have organised a Pirate Party Cruise with prizes for the best dressed pirate!

Where: Boatmans Landing, Waterfront City, Docklands
Cost: $40 for Swinburne students, $60 for non Swinburne students

The survey will only take you 15–20 minutes to complete and you'll automatically go into a draw to win one of five Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards valued at $100 each.
Your responses to this survey will help us improve our services, and to provide feedback to our agents to better their services to prospective students.
If you commenced your course between January and March this year, the survey will be sent to your Swinburne student e-mail address.
Please be assured that the information you provide will be treated in strictest confidence. Your responses will in no way impact upon your relationship with Swinburne, and no information identifying you will be made available to any third party.

Ask George is a database of frequently asked questions (FAQs) for current students. You can browse FAQs submitted by other students or ask one of your own!
To access Ask George you will need to log in through the My.Swinburne portal.

Free health education session for female international students
The International Student Care Service (ISCS) and the Multicultural Centre for Women's Health are holding a free health education session for female international students.
The session will be informal, relaxed, and fully confidential. You will receive invaluable information on keeping healthy now and in the future, and will also receive a free Health Resource Kit.

Come and join us on The 'Couch'
Melbourne's international students now have a new place to relax, socialise and access a range of support services in the heart of the city!
The Couch – International Student Centre provides a safe and free space for you to socialise, relax, study, and access information and assistance.
There will also be plenty of footy nights, movie sessions and other activities where you can meet other international students.
This new facility has been coordinated by the Salvation Army and The Australian Federation of International Students, with the support of the City of Melbourne.
The Couch is located at 69 Bourke St, Melbourne, and will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5.00pm–10.00pm.
