Another round of AusAID students have graduated with flying colours! The eleven Swinburne students from East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia and Papua New Guinea – who studied a range of courses from TAFE to masters level – received their awards at a graduation ceremony held at the Camberwell Civic Centre in Melbourne on Tuesday 15 July. The celebrations continued with afternoon tea where graduates, staff, friends and families celebrated their achievements.

Homecoming Honour for Laos Graduates – June 2008

Swinburne graduates from Laos were acknowledged in a special presentation in Vientiane on Wednesday 25 June. Australian Ambassador to Laos, Dr Michele Forster, acknowledged their achievement in the inaugural ceremony organised by Vientiane College and the AusAID office in Laos.

Official guests present for the occasion included: Ms Manithda Sithimolada (Australian Development Scholarships Activity Manager), Mr Tim Napper (Second Secretary, Australian Embassy), Ms Manivanh Phoumavong (Australian Scholarships Education, Program Officer) and Mr Somnuck Kousonsavath (Deputy Director, Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education).
