The Language and Academic Skills (LAS) team provides advice and instruction about academic language and learning to international students.

The team is made up of teachers who can help you with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills (as well as many others) – both in and out of the classroom.

There are two LAS offices: PA310 in the Faculty of Design building and PF203. To make a booking write your name and mobile number on the booking sheet outside the office doors.

Lunchtime Conversation Groups

One of the best ways to practise English conversation is in an informal setting with a friendly English-speaker and interesting students from different courses.

Individual and Small Group Appointments

Individuals or small groups (2 to 3 people) can book a 30 to 60 minute appointment with an LAS adviser at the Hawthorn, Prahran, Lilydale and Wantirna campuses.
